Will Knight Rider need to hitch hike?

The stars of Global’s new Knight Rider series were outside of Union Station today, with attempts to have a promotional photo opt and autographs with fans.
However, it appeared that crime had fallen upon Toronto, when a by stander jumped into the vacant "KITT" car and drove away, to the shock and horror those who watched!!
Will Mike be able to fight crime without is faithful sidekick or will he have to take the bus?!
Was this a crazed fan who wanted to play a prank or did Global/NBC producers have a clever trick up their sleeve to create more Knight Rider buzz??
