What goes around…..

Has anyone else wondered, during the lull of the day when you really know you should be doing something more productive but instead you start trawling the Internet for info and checking blogs, that perhaps your time could be spent to better serve others?
Here at phd we have phenomenal initiatives such as phd sustain, and annually we work closely with the United way. But does anyone have any idea of how we can match charity and sustainability to ensure that some of the swag we receive and some of the leftover food we have can be donated to the less fortunate and those who are more in need?
Thoughts anyone?

I’m sure we could donate all the small bobble heads, bouncy balls, and other small toys to the Sicks kids hospital. I’m sure they would go to better use there than gathering dust on our desks.

I work with an organization that is holding a charity auction on July 13th and raising money for Gilda’s Club, a charity that provides emotional and social support for those suffering from cancer and their families. I’d gladly take any donations you care to make. Thanks!

How about donating the extra magazines we get or issues we are finished reading to any area hospitals. I’m sure they would appreciate it. Better than reading a Maclean’s issue from 3 years ago.
